Finding the right birth photographer for you is in my opinion so important.

Seriously think of it like this: who would you be comfortable going #2 in front of?

If you can go down your birth team list and know that you can get in your most vulnerable state in front of them then they are the right team members for you!

So what can you look for?

start with those willing to do a consult!

Search around your area for work that speaks to you:
- You like their eye for angles and capturing the story as it unfolds
- You like the editing and type of lighting used in the photography
- they are willing to chat with you before officially booking

Why do I think a pre birth photography session consultation is important? exactly because of comfort.

I am passionate about Birth.

I’m passionate about physiological births.

But I am also passionate about your informed decision-making and knowing that you will have a peaceful birth no matter where or who you are with.

So anyone you think will be on your team I highly suggest having a conversation with just to get a feel for who they are, what their beliefs are, and where they stand on topics that are strong for you and your birth!

If you are anxious or have fears surrounding birth I want you to know it’s normal.

All of these anxiety’s, fears, and roadblocks, in any situation can be neutralized with research, education, and comfortability.

Including the comfort you feel with each of your team members! From your midwife, doula, photographer, or OB choices.
